He is remembered as a man who never said ‘No’ to anyone reaching to him for some help, suggestions and advises. He spent almost all of his life as a reverent priest. Royal Government of Bhutan arrested him in Dec.1991, for reason unknown other than a popular Hindu priest in the community. He was forcefully evicted from Bhutan in the latter part of Dec.1991 empty handed. He reached Kankai River bank in Jhapa, Nepal and sought asylum in the refugee camp, since recently located, then. Latter, his family was relocated to Beldangi-II camp in Damak. He had ardent wish to repatriate to his homesteads. But, to no avail. After living in refugee camp for more than 18 years, he and his family resettled in the US and landed in Florida on Nov. 17, 2008.

Later, on March 23, 2011 he moved to Grand Forks, ND to join rest of his family members and relatives. He is survived by 7 sons, 3 daughters, 29 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
