Oct 10: King Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchhuk has planned to visit early next week those areas affected mostly by the recent fire and earthquake.

The plan follows a detail report submitted by his ministers who visited the affected areas earlier. The relief team and technical assessment team have been updating the happenings regularly.

The king has also set up fund raising program to aid the victims of earthquake that hit hard the southern Bhutanese’ lives in September. It has been reported by the online version of Kuensel, Bhutan’s official newspaper, that so far Ngultrum (Bhutanese currency) 6.5 million has been collected.
